Barefoot’s “Barrydale” is a versatile saddle that is anatomically shaped and made from soft leather. It has knee rolls that are incorporated into a detachable seat and it “frames” the rider. The “Barrydale” gives a deep and very secure riding position no matter if you’re out hacking or doing dressage in the arena.
It is very popular with endurance riders as well. It positions your legs precisely and stays secure on the horse’s back without causing pressure – and this is a great advantage on a long trek. The stirrup leathers can be positioned wherever you want, to suit your preferred seat position and your size. It has a flexible, V-shaped girthing system, and it is also well suited for difficult girthing situations. As with all Barefoot saddles, the “Barrydale” sits a little further forward on the horse’s back than conventional saddles, therefore positioning the rider directly above the horse’s centre of gravity. This makes it easier for your horse to balance your weight.
With this versatile saddle you will feel your horse’s muscles work and the movement of its back, which are basic requirements for developing your riding skills. There are 9 D-rings to secure a saddle pad or attach luggage. As with all Barefoot saddles, the pommel insert (size “medium” is included) can be exchanged.
